God has blessed us with the funds to order the legal book we needed for our church library. A copy of "Witnessing In Modern America" by Dr. David C. Gibbs, Jr. is on its way to us from The Christian Law Association. This book outlines our legal right to witness in all the various forums defined in American law. It will be a helpful reference for us should we encounter public or police interference with our right of free speech.
A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Bethany Mitros, a reporter from The Retrospect in Collingswood, NJ. On Friday, August 10th, 2012, The Retrospect published Ms. Mitros' article on our ministry. Thank you, Bethany and The Retrospect, for introducing God's Not Finished With Me Yet Ministries to your readers!
This is the first blog entry of our new church, God's Not Finished With Me Yet Ministries. Please have a look around our new website. While you're here, we hope you'll choose to accept the FREE GIFT offered to you on our Home Page. Our Co-Pastor, Rev. David Lay-Flurrie, and I are both excited and anxious to begin conducting outreaches at local events in the Oaklyn-Collingswood, NJ area. We've ordered some Gospel tracts and Gospels of John for distribution at these events, but we still need your help. Our biggest need right now is a book for our library. This is the book: Witnessing in Modern America By Dr. David C. Gibbs Jr This legal resource outlines your legal right to witness in all the various forums defined in American law $20.00 We are a small church without the resources to afford expensive legal help. Having this book in our library will allow more of the money God entrusts to us to go toward preaching the Gospel, rather than toward legal fees. You can help us obtain this book by making a contribution using the Donate button at the bottom of this page. Any donations received in excess of the cost of the book will be used to purchase more Gospel tracts for our outreach ministry. Thank you and God bless! "You should each give, then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly. And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause. He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times, so that many will thank God for your gifts which they receive from us." (2 Corinthians 9:7,8,11 Good News Translation) |
